The ever-popular rapper has called on the likes of Lanvin, Balenciaga, Balmain, Proenza Schouler, Rick Owens and other luxury brands to create "A New York Holiday" for the affluent holiday shopper. Images of the fashionable goods have been floating around the Internet since the official announcement was made Wednesday morning.
"With this project, Barneys New York and I were able to take the slickness, energy, and innovation of New York City and translate that into quality, timeless pieces," JAY Z said in a statement. "Everything that encompasses 'A New York Holiday'—the items chosen, the amazing designers that participated, the windows, the design of the BNY SCC Gallery—represents a perfect example of a unique and groundbreaking collaboration that I hope demonstrates how inspiring New York has been to me"
The special edition collection, available Nov. 20, follows a black, white, silver and gold color scheme and will feature items such as a black leather backpack from Alexander Wang, a men's raincoat from Alexander Stutterheim, an 18-karat-gold double ring from Hoorsenbuhs and more.
But, of course, buyer beware.
A Barney's cotton t-shirt from the line has been priced at $70, while a Shawn Carter by Hublot watch will run you $33,900.
Not exactly stocking stuffers-- unless you've got it like that.
