Iman brought her beauty and brain to Glamour magazine's "Secrets Of Start-Up Queens" Panel discussion held yesterday at the 92nd Street YMCA in New York City.
The 57-year-old former supermodel turned cosmetics giant was on hand to "share fascinating insights on how to build a radically successful business" in today's tight economic climate.
Iman spoke candidly about her business experiences alongside fellow panelists, model and television personality, Coco Rocha; co-founder and the creative director of the online lifestyle destination Refinery29, Piera Gelardi; co-founder of SoulCycle, Elizabeth Cutler; and founder and CEO of Dylan's Candy Bar, Dylan Lauren.
After a fourteen year career as a high fashion model, Iman became an entrepreneur, establishing IMAN Cosmetics, Skincare and Fragrances, which in 2010 was listed as a $25-million-a-year business.
