The recommendation is to get a facial every end of the season. However, not everyone can afford to do this. This was something that we noticed, and we wanted to share with you three ways to still keep your skin glowing without spending too much money doing so.
Take a decently hot shower to open your pores:
No, you don’t have to invest in a facial steamer or at-home steamer. Some dermatologists don’t even recommend these steamers because of their easy ability to grow fungus and mold. Your shower is readily available. Note: do not hold your face over a pot of water.
Gently exfoliate your skin
You also don’t have to go out and buy an expensive exfoliate. You can use oatmeal, coffee grounds and water (boiled and cooled). Mix equal parts up, apply to your face and gently message the mask. Do this for about 3-5 minutes. Then wipe off with a warm washcloth.
Apply a treatment serum
First, detect what your skin needs. If you need help with adding a glow, a good brightening enzyme peel will be best. If you have dry dull skin, a clarifying peel is your go-to. If you have
Apply a mask (on top of your serum)
Again, figure out what your skin really needs. You can match this up with the serum you use. Once you apply the mask, message it in and leave it on for 15 minutes. Then gently wipe the mask away with a washcloth, and you’re done!
