We’re seeing a wave of fashion brands dive into the lucrative beauty and cosmetics world, day by day. But not all makeup and cosmetics are created equal. Just because the brand may have a high-end or popular fashion name, doesn’t always mean we should hop on their beauty bandwagon. While many women are often prone to trust a product that comes from a company we know and love for fashion, we started to question whether buying beauty products from companies well know for their fashion lines was smart.

But, there are always the few that figure out a way to make it work. Below are our favorite fashion brands that created really good beauty products.

TopShop

TopShop is a well-known fashion brand in cities like New York and D.C. Their fashion sense is very urban girl meets runway, with a little sex appeal. Their beauty products, which were introduced to us not too long ago, are everything and more. From rich lipsticks, to creamy metallic blushes, to glitter based eye shadows, you’ll be sure to find really products to add to your beauty bag and at a reasonable price.

Forver21

You may squint your eyes at this one, but Forever21 has some of the cutest beauty accessories. Their makeup brand Love & Beauty also houses some fun colored lipsticks, nail polishes and more. You’ll also be able to pick up kitchy beauty sets, like these cute makeup brushes and manicure kit, all under $10. Not bad at all.

Marc Jacobs

While many of us may not wear his clothes, we should think twice about wearing his makeup. Marc Jacobs has found a way to master beauty from top to bottom. He’s trendsetting, has some of the best beauty branding and packaging and really knows how to make women want to wear makeup. The appeal extends beyond the look of it all. His products are top notch amazing. The nail polishes are rich, long lasting and trendsetting. The lipsticks are moisturizing and the shadows and blushes are highly pigmented. While the prices are a bit steep ($30 for a lipstick), they’re actually worth the investment. Plus, his fragrances are to die for.

Sound off ladies: what other fashion brands have you found to make amazing beauty products?
