Every woman deserves a break every now and then. But that doesn’t mean that we can all afford a day’s worth at the closest spa. So, here are a five ways to create your own at-home spa, without spending any money.
Step 1: Pick up a new nail polish, a few magazines and/or a few funny movies
Contrary to what you may think, painting your nails can be naturally relaxing. You have to focus and you have to sit very still. If you don’t plan on doing your beauty routine (I.e., your facial, nails and shaving), pick out your favorite magazines and a few good movies that will take your mind off of the stresses of the world.
Step 2: In a clean organized room, turn off the lights and light some candles
You want to set the tone. This is about relaxation. Fluorescent lights won’t let you relax the way you need to. Invest in a few smell good candles and put them all around your room or living room. Watch your mood start to change for the better.
Step 3: Run your bath or start your shower
Add some essential and aroma oil drops to your shower or add bath salts to your tub. You’ll enjoy the relaxing smells and the way the salts relax your muscles. Soak in or under the water for as long as you like. Throw in your weekly shave if you want!
Step 4: After you get out of your bath or shower stupor, put on a face mask
We talked to you all a while back about multi-masking. You should know very well now what masks are great for your skin. Slap on that mask and get ready to kick back.
Step 5: Sit back and relax
Whether that includes doing your nails, watching your favorite funny movie or just sitting in silence, do absolutely nothing that has to do with using your brain. This time is about relaxation, only.
