Dive deep into this bold summer beauty trend, fearlessly

I’m going to keep it short and sweet: I’m pretty much over people saying Black women are excluded from certain beauty trends. Sorry, not sorry. We look good in all beauty trends. Orange lip colors are no exception. So, here’s a list of all of the orange lipsticks I know for sure, we look great in. Why? Because I’m rocking on in the picture above.

Summer, get ready for us.

For the glossy obsessed woman:

You’re the real MVP. Most of us get so annoyed with glossy lips and all of the side effects that come with it (like our hair getting stuck to our lips). But, you love what you love. My dear, you should be rocking the Kat Von D Everlasting Liquid Lipstick this summer. Nothing else.

For the classic, minimalist:

Fine, we’ll let you slide by with wearing coral. And, we’ll let you try a lip pencil, like the Buxom Full-On Lip Stick, instead of a heavy lipstick.

For the woman who just wants a little bit of shine:

The NARS Satin Lip Pencil gives you enough umph that will make your lips look sleek, without the slippery nonsense.

For the woman in love with lip balms:

You just need that moisture. We get it. So go buy this: Stila Color Balm Lipstick

For the matte lip queen:

We’re came, we applied and we fell in love with Kat Von D’s Studded Kiss Lipstick in A GO-GO.

For the woman who wants to be seen:

Turn your lips into velvet with the Ciate Liquid Velvet Matte Lipstick.

For the women trying to save money:

Play around with CoverGirl’s Colorlicious Lipstick in Sweet Tangerine.

For the woman who does not feel like re-applying her lip color:

Like, ever. We got you. The Make Up For Ever Aqua Rouge in Bright Orange will last you up to at least 4 hours. You may have to reapply the gloss, but that’s about it.
