There’s nothing worse that smudging lip color

We just want to put it to you straight: there’s an art to making your lipstick last longer. So, we’ll just give the ultimate rundown. Listen up ladies, there’s levels to this.

Tip #1: Line Your Lips

How many times can we stress the importance of a good lined lip? Seriously. When you buy a lipstick, buy the liner to match. Line your lips carefully, and then fill in with the matching color. The liner will help seal in your lip color.

Tip #2: Apply Concealer to Your Lips

This is a little secret tip in the beauty industry. Many makeup artists use the consistency of concealer to help adhere the lip color to the lips. Just be sure not go too light, or too dark.

Tip #3: Prime Your Lips

Using a lip primer will help adhere the lip color and lock it in. It’ll also even out the texture of your lips and help create a smooth palate for application.

Tip #4: Apply Translucent Powder After the Application

Here’s how you do it: take a tissue paper place it lightly on top of your lips and dust the translucent powder of the tissue. It’s like setting powder for your lipstick.
