Tyra Banks is putting her Harvard Business School certificate and beauty knowledge to good use. On Friday, the former supermodel and TV personality announced she's launched her very own cosmetics line, TYRA Beauty.
Banks had been teasing the big news on her social media accounts and finally dished the details of the line that will focus on three areas-- stick-based cosmetics ("TYover"), eye makeup ("Smize") and cosmetics used on the runway ("It Factory").
"The creation of my cosmetics experience has been years in the making," she told PEOPLE. "Do you know how good it feels to finally be able to tell the world why I attended Harvard Business School?! I truly learned how to master building and leading my own cosmetics experience."
Banks used her knowledge of makeup from her years in fashion and transformed it into products for the everyday woman.
"Without makeup, I would have never been a supermodel," she continued. "I don't wake up with naturally sculpted cheekbones-- I paint them on! I believe makeup is the great beauty equalizer."
"The TYRA Beauty cosmetics experience has a lot of innovative elements. I’m obsessed with being different, unique, a leader. Our new beauty business is all about badassery. I’m approaching beauty differently: bigger, bolder, badder."
TYRA Beauty products, which start at $24, are now available at Tyra.com.
