We're not trying to cut summer short, but it's time to start revamping that beauty collection and we love a good blush on brown skin! Check out these must-haves for the Fall.
The perfect bronze:
The dewy glow isn't just for Summer. A nice, highlighted cheekbone will look sleek and stunning this fall, alongside the upcoming fashion and beauty trends. The key to finding a good bronze blush is to not go too light. Many times, women will see a gold blush and think "that's the one." But, the truth is, finding a good bronze blush that has a peach or even mauve undertone will help you add glow and a spice of color to your skin.

The poppy pink:
Don't be afraid of a little color on your cheeks, ladies. Super bright blushes can be intimidating, but they look amazing on our shades of complexions. The perk to a rocking a bright blush in the Fall and Winter, is that it will liven up your complexion, preventing your skin from looking dull. Women with medium to darker complexions can go even brighter than they think, given that the color will be pigmented enough for a small shock of color. The trick with wearing a bright pink blush is to apply sparingly to the apple of your cheeks, only. Dip your brush into the blush at an angle, blow lightly to get the excess off, smile, and apply right where on top of the apples of your cheeks.
Our favorite pick: Maybelline Face Studio Master Glaze Glisten Blush Stick in Pink Fever ($7.99)
The mauve must-have:
Mauve colors are my favorite for Black women. They really create a sexy, sultry look without looking over-the-top. Every Black woman should have her favorite mauve blush in her bag at all times. This is your go to, ladies. It's perfect for day and night and is a perfect accommodation to a bright red or barely there nude lip.
Our favorite pick: Sephora Collection Colorful Blush in Fuchsia Flash 19 ($15)
The raging red:
This sounds crazy to most, but red blushes are making a statement this upcoming season. Most of us wouldn't even dare to look at a red blush, but applying a dab onto the apple of your cheeks (just like you would with the poppy pink) is enough to bring a wow factor to your look. Not many companies make this shade just yet, but after trying it out myself, I completely fell in love. You can even mix it up a bit with your bronzer to create an edgy look. Pull back your hair, make sure your brows are clean and add either a red gloss or nude lip to the package. Trust us, people will be stopping you left and right, asking you how to get your look!
